With first choice and regular captain Antonio Valencia left at home due to concerns of how the astroturf pitch in Bern could affect the Equadorian's knee,19-year-old Dalot could make his bow for United's senior team on Wednesday night.
Although Ashley Young could be switched to the right flank to cover, it appears that this would be an ideal chance to give the £19million signing his debut.
Dalot has been unable to feature so far this year due to a knee injury that he arrived at the Old Trafford club with, however he has recently come through under-23 games against Stoke City and Reading.
Comfortable on both flanks, or playing in a more advanced role as a wing back, Dalot's adaptability is undoubtedly one of the reasons Jose Mourinho splashed out so much on a relatively unproven player.
Having only made six appearance in the league for Porto and turning out only once in the Champions League Dalot remains very inexperienced but is certainly a talented prospect.
