Dembele curled home a beauty early on to stun Mamelodi Sundowns

The Frenchman appeared keen on leaving his mark on this one, though his early opener was aided by some shocking home defending. An attempt to play out from the back managed only to present the ball to Dembele and he did the rest.

The forward kept his head to jink inside a challenge and curl a wonderful left-footed effort beyond Denis Onyango in the home goal and into the far corner.

Calmness, quality and technique, the goal showed all the characterstics that convinced Barcelona to bring Dembele to the club last summer and the will now be hoping that he can step up his performances next season.
