Deflection doubled Arsenal's tally
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had netted the first for Arsenal, but he was looking on as this effort flew in.
Alex Iwobi played a ball inside the left back and Welbeck was able to use his pace to get the wrong side.
He cut in, onto his right foot, and fired an effort towards goal. It would likely have gone in had Yoshida not intervened, but McCarthy could only watch as the ball sailed over him following the Japanese's touch.
