The relationship between Celtic and defender Dedryck Boyata has reached breaking point after Fulham's unsuccessful £9m bid for the Belgium.
Boyata's agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, is trying to force the move - with Boyata reportedly refusing to play amidst the transfer saga.
Olympiakos, Fenerbahce and Fulham are all claimed to have wanted the player, however Celtic do not want to sell.
Lichtenstein told the 'Daily Mail': "Previously there was interest from Fulham, Olympiakos and Fenerbahce.
"Offers of £7million and £8m - but apparently Celtic is financially strong enough not to go into that. It's strange, because on the other hand, the club apparently does not have the money to make Dedryck a dignified new contract proposal."
It is unknown whether the player wants the move, or whether his agent is trying to cause a stir in order to improve the Belgian international's contract at Celtic Park.
Sevilla, Lazio and Roma have all also been credited with an interest, and Lichtenstein claimed: "Dedryck is currently slightly injured. He does not want to take the risk of making that injury worse, because in four months he can talk to any club about a free transfer."
Celtic boss Rodgers admitted at the weekend that the situation was "difficult" for 27-year-old Boyata, as he may be bullied into selling for under his valuation in January.
