Man City got a 1-2 advantage after the first leg in Paris and the English side fought back after Marquinhos put PSG ahead. De Bruyne and Mahrez netted for Man City.
The Belgian referred to the difference in his team after the interval: "They are an incredible side with a lot of quality up top. It was a shame they scored, but after the first 45 minutes we changed the way we pressed and it worked better for us. We had chances and we played much better," the Belgian midfielder told 'BT Sport'.
In addition, he admitted that he got lucky with the equaliser. "We got lucky with the first goal, but we played good football," he added.
De Bruyne said that they were less rushed with the ball after the interval: "We tried to find spaces more patiently."
On his goal which was a cross which ended up going into Keylor Navas' goal, he said that "it's so difficult for a keeper because he expects someone to touch it."
De Bruyne also talked about his conversation with Mahrez just before the free-kick which saw the Algerian make it 1-2.
"He said to me that he wanted to take it and I said that if he was confident, then go on. I have a lot of faith in my teammates. Now we have got a match left and we have to concentrate on that," he added.
