David Luiz set to leave Arsenal

David Luiz looked unlikely to stay at Arsenal given the latest reports. He has been ruled out by Arteta for next season and was linked with moves to Lazio and the MLS. 

He has yet to sign a new contract and his current one expires in June so his departure was an open secret. 'Sky Sports' have confirmed that the Brazilian will leave the Emirates Stadium. 

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specialises in transfer news, said that this decision not to offer David Luiz a new contract was a joint decision. 

If the central defender finally leaves the club, he will do so having made 73 Arsenal appearances across two seasons.
