Darwin Núñez and Weigl test positive for COVID-19

The coronavirus is an authentic threat for football clubs, who week after week are watching to see if the pandemic will make one of their squad members miss the next few matches.

COVID-19 hit Benfica hard on Thursday 19th November, one of the big teams in Portugal, who communicated two positive cases in their first team.

The Lisbon side announced that the Uruguayan Darwin Nuñez (their star signing) and the German Julian Weigl didn't undergo the PCR tests successfully and will have to be isolated from the group until they test negative.

In this way, the side has now suffered a total of 4 cases since the pandemic started to spread at the start of 2020.
