Manchester City show no mercy and neither does Haaland. The Sky Blues knew they needed to score an early goal to inflict a heavy blow on Leipzig and the Cityzens delivered with ease.
From the beginning of the game, Guardiola's team created dangerous chances until Rodri's header hit Henrichs' hand. The referee did not blow the whistle but after a VAR review a penalty was finally awarded to Manchester City.
Haaland, as usual, converted from 12 yards. However, the Norwegian did not find a one-goal lead enough and just two minutes later he got his brace.
In the 24th minute, De Bruyne tried his luck from the edge of the box with a powerful shot but the ball hit the crossbar. However, former Dortmund player Haaland took the rebound and headed home to extend the Cityzens' lead.
