According to the 'Daily Star' the Eagles are still in the search for a replacement for one of their best players last season. His departure to Manchester United has meant there is a vacancy in the Palace back line and the Arsenal footballer is the favourite to move there.
Arsenal wanted to include Jenkinson in a part-exchange deal with Zaha, but Crystal Palace want the two to be done separately.
"We don't have any defenders to speak of. Aaron has gone and we have three others injured. We will have to do it in the best way possible to make sure we have a replacement," Roy Hodgson said after his team lost their first pre-season game of the season.
As a result, Arsenal and Crystal Palace are forced to negotiate this summer. Both teams want one of the other team's players although it does not seem likely it will be solved in the coming days.
