Coutinho in free fall and to miss rest of season

Aston Villa are still in a intense fight for a European spot. Since Unai Emery came in, the side from Birmingham's level has gone up significantly, shooting them up the table.

However, it's not all a bed of roses, and that's particularly the case for Philippe Coutinho. The English side confirmed online that he'll miss the rest of the season after suffering the same injury as before, which kept him out of action for more than 3 months.

The Brazilian has hardly played more than 900 minutes across the whole of the season, scoring just once. Injuries, once more, have come back to bite the 30 year old striker.

Despite Coutinho having a contract until 2026, everything is indicating that the ex-Brazil international could be packing his bags this very summer. One of the destinations he could go to would be his own country, as Corinthians are interested.
