'Los Blancos' welcome Celta Vigo to the Bernabeu hoping to either catch city rivals Atletico Madrid in second or cement third-position ahead of Valencia.
However, for some, it could be their final game in the captial. Gareth Bale, Marcos Llorente, Kiko Casilla, Achraf Hakimi and Borja Mayoral appear to be in limbo regarding their futures at the club.
Bale, the biggest name in the list, has gone from being a guaranteed starter to a fringe-player which could end his spell in Spain. His failure to play in key matches will have undoubtedly hurt the Welsh forward with Bayern Munich tipped as his next potential destination.
For Casilla, Llorente and Mayoral, all have been lacking in game time. The first has featured on 17 occasions but that is only due to an injury sustained by Keylor Navas, which kept him sidelined for two months. With Madrid searching for a new man between the sticks too, Casilla's future looks set.
Mayoral has rarely played under Zinedine Zidane, falling understandably down the pecking order to Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez. He has talent, but it might not be enough to stay at the Bernabeu.
Llorente too is a player cast aside in a strong position for Madrid. In midfield they boast the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco and Casemiro and there simply isn't room for the youngster.
Achraf's situation is slightly different to his peers. At just 19 years of age, he has youth on his side and has featured 16 times this season thanks to Zidane's rotation of Dani Carvajal. He has had opportunities, it just depends if Madrid believe in his development to elite level at the club.
Sunday's match against Celta Vigo could prove their last opportunity to shine.
