Conference League preview: Chelsea vs Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers, on the other hand, have had an inconsistent spell, recording just two wins in their last five matches. With the Irish league ending in November and not resuming until February, the Rovers have relied on friendlies and European fixtures to stay sharp. Despite this, they will aim to rise to the occasion against one of Europe's most in-form teams.

Chelsea are clear favourites, not just for Thursday's encounter but also for claiming the Conference League title this season. With their attacking line in fine form and confidence high, they will be keen to deliver another dominant display in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge.

Shamrock Rovers, however, will look to defy the odds and make the most of their European adventure against a side tipped to go all the way.
