Concern in France over injured Mbappe

Although all the eyes in Istra were on the Antoine Griezmann press conference, Kylian Mbappé ended up being the protagonist of the day. Unfortunately though, since the striker was forced to leave training injured.

The alarm bells will be ringing in the French camp after a collision with Rami sent Mbappé to the ground. Almost immediately, the forward dropped his hand to his left ankle, seemingly in considerable pain.

The French medical team are already carrying out a medical assessment on one of their stars, which could leave a tremendous gap in the lineup for Deschamps if it is confirmed that the injury is serious.

It is worth remembering that France will debut at the World Cup on Saturday, against Australia. By then, the fans will already know what has happened with the 19-year-old's ankle. Therefore, Mbappé may well be a serious doubt not only for the first match, but also for the rest of the tournament.
