The young midfielder has amazed the world with his incredible season at Benfica, and his performance has caused an array of offers from clubs in La Liga, Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1... but Joao Felix's price is proving to be a problem even for Europe's biggest and most economically strong clubs.
The Portuguese player has plenty of offers, and all teams have valid arguments for their sporting growth, however, this player's signing will be complicated. Benfica has set the player's termination clause at 120 million euros, as a way of scaring off even the highest of bidders.
However, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola want to take the lead in the negotiations, so, according to the 'Mirror', the English club has prepared a new offer to the Portuguese team.
It calls for the signing of Joao Felix, but with the promise that the player would be at Benfica on loan for one more year, until 30 June 2020.
With this move, City could get a less expensive operation at the same time as Benfica would continue to enjoy its star one more year. Atletico, meanwhile, are also lurking and Cholo is approaching Joao Felix with another sizeable contract.
