City's Ake waiting for injury diagnosis

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake has a muscle injury and is a doubt for the Sky Blues' next few games.

The Dutch midfield, who has become a stalwart in Pep Guardiola's three-man defence, got injured in the second half of the game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, and had to be subbed off for Aymeric Laporte.

"It's really frustrating. I almost hadn't got injured the whole of this season, but we'll see how it is and let's hope it's not too bad. I've had it before and I think it's a bit less this time, but you never know", the Dutchman said, who had to hobbled off the pitch at the Allianz Arena.

Ake is to go through tests on Friday to know the gravity of the injury, which may first keep him out of the FA Cup semi against Sheffield United this Saturday.
