The City Football Group are a holding company who own ten different football clubs across the world. Their most prized possession is Manchester City, recent Premier League champions and Champions League semi-finalists. Club number eleven is just round the corner.
'Sky Sports' have reported that the CFG's next acquisition will be current Serie B club, Palermo. Various sources from Italy support this information and it is known that the negotiations have been going smoothly and have "advanced rapidly".
It is beleived that the deal will be closed in "the coming days" and that Dario Mirri, current club president, will maintain a minority stake.
As well as Manchester City and Palermo (should the purchase go through), the City Group own the following clubs: Girona, Troyes, Lommel, New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama Marinos and Sichuan Jiuniu.
