Chelsea set to make formal approach for Man United's Garnacho

Chelsea are close to making a formal offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Alejandro Garnacho as Maresca's side look to bolster their attacking options. The Argentine's agents were in the stands at Stamford Bridge watching the last Premier League game against Wolves. 

The 20-year-old Argentine winger has attracted the attention of several clubs, with Napoli having already seen a bid of 50 million euros rejected by United. Chelsea's interest in Garnacho intensified following initial talks with the player's representatives, indicating their intention to advance with the move.

Manchester United are reportedly demanding a considerable amount, with talk of around €70 million being the price tag for the young talent. The potential signing is part of Chelsea's current strategy of signing promising young players as he is 20 years old, in line with their recent transfer policy under the current ownership.

Garnacho, who has made 31 appearances for United this season, is considered a valuable asset due to his Premier League experience and potential for growth. However, the transfer may face obstacles as United are not actively pushing for his sale, and Chelsea would have to navigate fierce competition for starting places within their own squad.
