'Sky Italia' reports that the 'Blues' are edging closer to completing a double deal that will see Roma pair Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko swap Rome for London.
Chelsea have been linked with moves for both Palmieri and Dzeko in recent days and now the aformentioned source claims that the English side are ready to offer a deal worth up to €60m to land the duo, whilst striker Michy Batshuayi may also move in the other direction on loan.
The deal would be worth an initial €50m, with the other €10m coming in the form of potential add-ons.
Dzeko has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Roma so far this season and as a target man striker with Premier League experience, he fits the profile that Antonio Conte is looking for.
Palmieri meanwhile is a left-back, a position that Conte did his best to strengthen in the summer, only for his pursuit of Juventus' Alex Sandro to come up short.
Both players are thought to be keen on the move, with 'Sky Sports News' reporting that Chelsea are the only club Dzeko would consider leaving Roma for.
However, Roma have been keen to stress than no deal has been agreed as of yet for either player.
