Mykhaylo Mudryk has been linked to Arsenal for several weeks. Accordingt to several sources, an agreement is close to being struck between the Premier League leaders and the Ukranian side for a transfer thought to be in the region of €90 million.
But Chelsea have other plans to disrupt their London neighbours' agreement. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues' board have gone to Poland to negotiate a deal for the Shakhtar player.
The Italian journalist has also said that the London side have given the Ukrankian club an official offer close to €100 million, which is more than what The Gunners have managed.
Shakhtar have getting close an agreement with Chelsea on Twitter: "FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov and Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali discussed Mykhailo Mudryk’s transfer to Chelsea FC today. Parties are very close to agree on player’s transfer to the club".
