Chelsea angry about Kounde: stop two Barça moves

Chelsea have found in Barcelona their great rival in this transfer window. After seeing them sign Christensen, who did not renew his contract, and the sought-after Raphinha, it seems that they are ready to repeat the situation with defender Jules Kounde.

The latest reports speak of an agreement in principle between the Catalans and Sevilla for the centre-back, with whom there was already a full understanding. Given this scenario, Stamford Bridge seem to have moved in and relations with the Camp Nou side are going to suffer.

According to 'Sport', the first consequence has not been long in coming. Chelsea, who had everything closed with the Andalusian club to get the French defender, have blocked the negotiations with Barça for Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, other of the 'Cules' targets for the defence.

In the case of the former, Thomas Tuchel, the English club coach, was more reticent about his departure, but the left-back's arrival in Barcelona seemed more feasible. However, both operations have become very complicated in the last few hours.

The London club know that time is running out and they have already started looking at the market again. With the defence still to be strengthened after the departures of Christensen and Rudiger and the addition of Koulibaly, they have found a player of their interest in RB Leipzig.

Nordi Mukiele would be Chelsea's backup to bolster the centre of defence. The 24-year-old can play at centre-back and right-back, something that Kounde could do. However, PSG have advanced talks and Stamford Bridge must hurry if they want to bid for him.
