Celtic dismiss talk of Arzani returning to Man City

Daniel Arzani was dubbed the next world star towards the end of last season, prompting Manchester City to sign the youngster from their sister club Melbourne City. His two season loan move to Celtic was sealed a week later, in a bid to assure regular first team action for the 19 year old.

However, Arzani is yet to feature for Brendan Rogers side, instead having to make do with a few appearances for the Glasgow giants' reserve side.  

An Australian website has claimed that there is a clause in Arzani's loan agreement, that would allow him to return to Manchester at the end of the current season, if he still has not broken into Celtic's first team squad. 

However Celtic have moved to rubbish such claims and have categorically stated that Arzani will not be moving back down south any time soon.

Arzani was the youngest player to feature at the World Cup in Russia this summer, making substitute appearances against France, Denmark and Peru. He has five caps and one goal for the Socceroos so far.
