Cavani lobs Areola from 40 yards out!

It took 15 minutes for Edinson Cavani to treat the returning public at Old Trafford with the first goal of afternoon. And it wasn't just any goal - it was something spectacular!

De Gea cleared from his box and the ball reached Bruno Fernandes near the middle of the park. United's number 18 looked to get a slight touch on the ball with his heel, picking out the Uruguayan out the corner of his eye and providing a delicious assist.

However, this delightful backheel didn't exist. He made the move to play the ball, but didn't actually touch it. The movement was enough to send the Fulham players the other way, however, as the ball found its way through to Cavani, 40 yards out.

Here, the Uruguayan didn't doubt for a second what he wanted to do with the ball, dinking a beautiful lob over Areola from distance. The Fulham keeper backtracked and dived in spectacular fashion, getting a touch on the ball but unable to divert it wayward. The ball ended up nestled in the back of the Fulham net, and United fans in the ground went wild!
