To score in six consecutive Champions League games is no mean feat and it has only been done by five players in the history of the competition. Take a look at who has managed the impressive achievement...
Edinson Cavani
The Uruguayan's run of six games stretches over two Champions League campaigns and includes goals in both legs of the epic round of 16 tie against Barcelona last season, and his latest came in his side's emphatic win over Bayern on Wednesday night.
Ruud van Nistelrooy
The former Manchester United striker was the first player to achieve the feat and he remarkably achieved it twice during his time at Old Trafford. He also holds the record as the player to have scored in the most consecutive Champions League games, with an astonishing run of nine games between September 2002 and April 2003.
Cristiano Ronaldo
It would probably be more of a surprise if the Portuguese star didn't make the list. Ronaldo has also achieved the run twice, both coming whilst at Real Madrid. His formidable goalscoring form coincided with Los Blancos lifting the trophy at the end of the 2013-2014 season. He was just one game off Van Nistelrooy's record, scoring in eight consecutive games that season.
Marouane Chamakh
Certainly the most surprising name to make the elite list of strikers. The Moroccan is widely considered to be a flop at the Emirates but his run came thanks to a three-game streak for Bordeaux at the end of the club's 2009-10 European campaign followed by goals in his first three Arsenal appearances in the Champions League the following season.
Burak Yilmaz
The Turkish striker is the final man on the list. During his first season at Galatasaray, Yilmaz scored an impressive eight goals in six games, including one against Manchester United during his side's run in the 2012-13 Champions League.
