Carroll on the cards for Chelsea

Having missed out on Fernando Llorente in the summer and with Michy Batshuayi set to leave the club, Conte feels Chelsea are over-reliant on Alvaro Morata, who is already feeling the effects of his first season in English football.

Andy Carroll emerged as a potential candidate to strengthen the front line and, after Chelsea enquired about the striker's availability, the Blues were encouraged to further their interest.

The reigning Premier League champions could be interested in a six-month loan deal for the former England striker and David Moyes could be tempted to free up the £90,000-a-week wages that Carroll collects at the London Stadium. The Hammers could also try to include Michy Batshuayi in the deal.
