La Liga has stopped because of the World Cup, but there are still some topics being talked about. One of them is the aftermath of Rayo Vallecano's victory over Real Madrid. That was Madrid's first league defeat of the season.
It was Sergio Camello who brought the game back into the spotlight. In an interview with 'Radio Marca', the Rayo striker slammed the cocky behaviour of some of the members of the Real Madrid team. He did not want to name names though.
"When you're a top player, you can have the attitude of Falcao or they can come and tease or laugh at you. They said comments to us like 'I'm the best' or they were laughing... They are not the best because of that," he said from the Under 21 camp.
Camello denied that Rayo were the ones who were doing the trash talking. "They also drove us crazy. We play very good football, but we have to give it our all, we do that. In the end, the game is played more without the ball than with it.
The striker gave a special mention to Falcao who became one of the best strikers in Atletico Madrid's history: "It's an honour for him to be my colleague. 'El Tigre', in two years, became if not the best then one of the top 3. He doesn't have to give me advice. Just by watching him train, you learn a lot."
