Bruno Guimaraes lashes out at Newcastle fans

Bruno Guimaraes did not take kindly to the criticism he received from Newcastle fans after his side lost 1-0 to Manchester City on the second day of the Premier League season.

The Brazilian expressed his dismay on social network X before deleting his tweet: "Seriously? We only lost to the best team in the world 1-0! Support in the best moment is easy! Look at what we've done in the last year and a half... This season we're in the #ChampionsLeague so be happy".

However, it seems that even their own coach Eddie Howe was not at all pleased with the Magpies' loss to the Sky Blues: "We were much better in the second half. I mean, the first half, it was a disappointing start to the game. I really thought we'd fly at them and put them under pressure, but it was sort of the opposite.

A first half goal from Julian Alvarez was enough for the Cityzens to take all three points against Howe's side at the Etihad Stadium.
