Celtic captain Brown appearaed to suddenly throw his arm back when Naismith was stood directly behind him. The two players then confronted each other but were separated by the referee.
Naismith had kicked out at opposition winger Jonny Hayes while he was on the ground too, which seemed to go unnoticed by the on-field officials at the time.
'Sky Sports' report that the Scottish FA have decided against punishing the two players for their coming together.
