Chelsea saw a second bid for midfielder Moises Caicedo turned down by Brighton. The Blues' offer was a £10 million improvement on their first, bringing the bid up toa reported £70 million - but it still falls short of the Seagulls' valuation of the Ecuadorian.
Caicedo had wanted a move in January, with interest coming from Arsenal, but Brighton turned them away as well. Now, with several clubs following the 21-year-old, Chelsea are leading the efforts to prise him away.
According to 'Daily Mail', seeing the Gunners having to pay £105 million for Declan Rice, Brighton feel their own young star is close in value to the English international, meaning the Blues are still a way off a deal.
Caicedo only made his Premier League debut in April 2022, and has since played 53 times for Brighton, helping his side reach the Europa League group-stage this coming season, after finishing 6th in the English top flight.
