The 'Seagulls' have bid for Sheffield United defender Jack O'Connell and Wigan's Dan Burn as they hope to stablilise defensively before their Premier League campaign kicks off against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Brighton reportedly offered the 'Blades' £8m for O'Connell's services, while Wigan received a bid of £3m for Burn.
Sheffield United will hope to keep on to the Englishman who was key for the side in the Championship last season, appearing in all 46 games. Manager Chris Wilder responded to Brighton's interest in the player earlier in the window, claiming "we've said to Chris that Jack is not for sale. He has recently signed a four-year contract."
Chris Hughton has already added 10 players to his squad in the transfer window, including Iranian forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh and midfielder Yves Bissouma from Lille.
