Liverpool made it official on social media a few weeks ago that Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner were leaving the English club at the end of last season.
In the case of the latter of the aforementioned, within days of this confirmation, he was quickly linked with Brighton. The Seagulls officially announced the English midfielder on Wednesday.
"We are pleased to confirm that James Milner will join the club until 2024, with an option to renew for a further year when his Liverpool contract expires on 30th June," the British club said in an official statement.
The player also expressed his happiness at the prospect of a new adventure in his career: "I was lucky enough to have a few offers on the table, but Brighton really excited me.
"I've had a couple of talks with Roberto. He's an exciting coach, really passionate, forward-thinking and has a fantastic way of organising his team. He is someone who is confident in himself and loves his team," he added.
