Bad news for Nigeria. The Super Eagles have lost one of their biggest attacking assets for the Africa Cup of Nations just two days before their opening game against Equatorial Guinea.
Jose Peseiro's side will be without Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq, who has left his national team training camp after picking up an injury in training on Thursday morning.
This blow to the former UD Almeria striker has been reported by 'El Partidazo de COPE', who also confirmed that the extent of the injury is still unknown.
Umar Sadiq returned to action this season after missing most of last season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The 26-year-old striker has made 22 official appearances this season, nine of them as a starter, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
