Brazilian prodigy Endrick set alarm bells ringing at Real Madrid

Palmeiras, with a brace from Argentina's Jose Manuel Lopez and another from Endrick, moved three points clear at the top of the Brasileirao after a 4-0 win over America on Wednesday.

With only two matchdays left in the tournament, the race between Palmeiras, Botafogo, Atletico Mineiro and Flamengo is hotly contested and anyone can win the title, although the Paulista club, the reigning champions, are doing their best to return to the throne and win their 12thleague title.

Abel Ferreira's side have 66 points, three more than Botafogo, who moved back into second place after conceding a last-minute equaliser to Coritiba in a 1-1 draw.

Atletico Mineiro and Flamengo are also in third and fourth place on goal difference, respectively, with 63 points.

Palmeiras overpowered bottom side America Mineiro, already relegated to the second division, from the first minute with a stunning goal from striker Endrick, the promising youngster signed from Real Madrid, but it was not all good news for the talent.
