Bramall makes first appearance for Arsenal

Bramall had signed for Arsenal earlier in January from non-league side Hednesford Town for a fee of  £40,000.

The 20-year-old defender's move to the Gunners made the headlines not only because of the huge gap between his previous team and the Premier League, but mainly because of his circumstances.

The youngster, who had not been a professional footballer up to now, was made redundant from his full-time job at a factory before Christmas and was facing unemployment when he went to try out with Arsenal and cuaght the eye of Arsene Wenger who decided to offer him a contract.

"It feels incredible," Bramall said.  "I can't believe I'm here already. It's been mental."
