During this past transfer market, Real Madrid reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for Reinier's loan, who will play for the German team until June 2022.
From the Santiago Bernabéu they took the decision to loan the player with the intention that the Brazilian would continue having minutes and thus his development as a professional footballer would not be truncated, something that is not being possible for him in the Signal Iduna Park.
Reinier has played in seven matches so far, but has only been on the pitch for 105 minutes. This weekend he was even left out of the squad for the match against Bayern Munich.
Michael Zorc, director of sport for Borussia Dortmund, explained his absence to the daily 'Ruhr Nachrichten': "He is not in good physical shape. You can see that he was unable to train or play in Spain for months".
