Boniface investigated by Leverkusen for speeding while looking at phone

Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly launched an investigation into a video posted by Victor Boniface, showing the Nigerian striker driving a luxury Mercedes at speeds exceeding 120mph while looking at his phone.

The video, which has since been deleted from social media, has raised serious concerns over the player's behaviour, particularly given his recent history with a car crash. The Nigerian, who was involved in a horrific car accident just six weeks ago and required medical attention, appears to have disregarded safety guidelines, further complicating his situation.

The Germans are reportedly taking the matter seriously, as such reckless behaviour could jeopardise not only his safety but also his standing within the team. As a result, the 23-year-old could face penalties, including a deduction of points from his driving record and a potential fine.

Bayer Leverkusen have yet to issue an official statement, but they are expected to take disciplinary action, as they are committed to ensuring the safety and conduct of their players.
