The English club, one of eight founders of the English League and now find themselves in the Third Division, due to obvious economic problems for several years before.
The club started the season on minus 12 points, behind the rest of the competitors, with a lot of their players from the youth squad and the EFL giving them an ultimatum of two weeks to try to balance their accounts.
And they were waiting for a miracle, which arrived in the form of a new owner: Football Ventures Limited, who took over the rights from Eddi Davies Trust to become the new owners of the club.
And Bolton confirmed this on social media: "We are delighted to announce that the sale of Bolton Wanderers to Football Ventures (Whites) Limtied has been completed".
The publication came accompanied by an enormous stream of messages from anonymous Twitter users rejoicing in the good news, since the news involves the "saving of a club that has 145 years of history".
"The EFL and PFA have played a vital part in the survival process of the club. They have understood perfectly the complexity of the subject and have fought to save Bolton, helping us to finalise the agreement. For all the fans have had to endure, they deserve no less" the statement says.
Undoubtedly positive news for English football, but that also reminds us of the newly disappeared Bury. Also with economic problems, the 134-year-old club are set to draw the curtain for the last time this Tuesday.
