After two days of rest, Real Madrid return to work this Tuesday. They will start preparing for the La Liga match with Levante which will take place on Saturday 30th January at the Di Stefano stadium.
David Bettoni will lead the training session as Zidane is still self-isolating after testing positive for coronavirus. Zidane's assistant took charge of the team when they easily beat Alaves 1-4 last Saturday.
News of the Frenchman testing positive came to light on 22nd January so he will have to self-isolate until the weekend of 6th-7th February when Real Madrid travel to Huesca.
Nacho will not be in Tuesday's training session at Valdebebas either because he came back positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He is also self-isolating at home.
The other big absentee will be that of Odegaard, but for a different reason. The Norwegian is in London to sign a loan deal at Arsenal. He has once again struggled to play regularly for Real Madrid with just 368 minutes in the first half of the season. Odegaard will join the Gunners until the end of the season.
Sergio Ramos and Carvajal remain doubts as they are struggling with injuries from previous matches. Both expect to be fit in time for the game with Levante.
Focussed on La Liga
Real Madrid's early exit from the Copa del Rey at the hands of Alcoyano has meant they have more time to rest and prepare for the league game with Levante. Levante and Madrid's big rivals Barcelona are among the clubs in Copa del Rey last 16 action this midweek between 26th and 28th January.
