Betis gem Assane Diao signs for Como

Como 1907 continue to add young players to the team. On this occasion, the Italian side have just completed the signing of Assane Diao, an Under 21 international who plays for ‘La Rojita’. An announcement that took place on Tuesday afternoon via a video on the club's official channels.

The attacker brings the curtain down on his time at Betis, who he joined in the summer of 2021 to play in their youth ranks. His jump to the first team was in October 2023, so he has spent just over a year with the ‘seniors’.

New adventure for Assane Diao, who signs for Como 1907 until 30th June 2029. The Spain U21 international will be alongside Alberto Moreno, Pepe Reina and Sergi Roberto. 

"Assane is very intelligent playing off the ball and knows how to find open spaces to free himself. His versatility will be a great asset to the team and I can't wait to work with him.
