Goalkeeper: David De Gea (Manchester United)
The Manchester United keeper deserves to be in this team for his save from Joel Matip's effort alone. The Spaniard showed lightning quick reactions to keep out a shot by Matip with his feet, and was strong throughout as United kept a clean sheet in the 0-0 stalemate with Liverpool.
Defender: Joel Matip (Liverpool)
The centre-back was a strong presence in the Liverpool defence during their home draw with United. He won back possession 10 times for Jurgen Klopp's side, more than any of his team-mates.
Defender: Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham)
Signing Sanchez from Ajax already looks to be a shrewd bit of business for Spurs as the Colombian centre-back impressed yet again to keep out Bournemouth. He made twice as many clearances as any of his team-mates at Wembley (6).
Defender: Mamadou Sakho (Crystal Palace)
Sakho showed why the Crystal Palace fans were desparate to sign him on a permanent basis from Liverpool in the summer. The France international put in a solid performance at the back and showed his bullish determination whilst providing an assist for Wilfried Zaha to score Palace's second goal in their much-needed victory over Chelsea.
Midfielder: Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
Raheem Sterling is a man in-form with six league goals in seven appearances so far this season. He scored with his only shot on target and also provided two assists in City's 7-2 thumping of Stoke.
Midfielder: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
Although De Bruyne was not one of City's six goalscorers during their emphatic victory, he was superb throughout the match, pulling the strings in Pep Guardiola's midfield. He got two assists and was arguably the best performer of the week and he drew plenty of praise after the game.
Midfielder: Christian Eriksen (Tottenham)
The Danish midfielder was a constant attacking threat during Tottenham's win over Bournemouth and scored the all-important winner in Mauricio Pochettino's long-awaited first league victory at Wembley.
Midfielder: Tom Cleverley (Watford)
Cleverley has been hugely influential in the Watford midfield so far this season but until now has gone somewhat under the radar. He was in excellent form against Arsenal, winning possession and spreading play all over the pitch, and he scored an injury-time winner to cap off a fine performance.
Midfielder: Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Zaha returned from injury with a bang and Crystal Palace fans will be delighted to see him on the pitch again. In his first appearance since the opening day of the season, Zaha scored the winning goal in the Eagles' first win of the season against champions Chelsea.
Striker: Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City)
The young Brazilian striker was as clinical as ever in the centre-forward role. He scored either side of the break with his only two shots of the game during City's 7-2 victory.
Striker: Tammy Abraham (Swansea)
The young striker on-loan from Chelsea scored both of his side's goals to secure the Swans' first home win of the season over Huddersfield. His all-round game drew him lots of praise from his coach Paul Clement after the game.
