Goalkeeper: Paulo Gazzaniga (Tottenham)
Making his Spurs debut, the Argentine made a series of fine stops to keep his side in the game against Crystal Palace, allowing Son-Heung Min's solitary goal to hand Mauricio Pochettino's side the three points.
Right-back: Simon Francis (Bournemouth)
Many doubted Francis' abbility to step up to Premier League football but he looks more than at home with performances like this. The right-back had more touches than any other player on the pitch against Newcastle, won 75% of his 29 duels, 80% of his aerial duels and made four tackles, the most of any Bournemouth player.
Centre-back: Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)
The Spaniard had a fine game as Chelsea overcame Manchester United on home soil, making five 'important tackles' as well as providing the assist for Alvaro Morata's winning goal with a pin-point cross.
Centre-back: Lewis Dunk (Brighton)
After successfully shackling Tammy Abraham, Chris Hughton was barraged with questions about whether Dunk is international quality after the game and he certainly believes so. The Brighton academy product put in another sterling display at the back to help the 'Seagulls' to another clean sheet with one late block from Abraham particularly noteworthy.
Left-back: Leighton Baines (Watford)
Despite his now advanced age, Baines remains a key part of Everton's team, as he showed on Sunday as a coolly-taken penalty and an assist for Dominic Calvert-Lewin helped 'The Toffees' come from 2-0 down to beat Watford 3-2.
Centre-midfield: Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)
The playmaker created six chances against Manchester United in an excellent engine room display, no other Chelsea player created more than one.
Centre-midfield: Kevin De Bruyne (Man City)
Another week, another fine performance from the Belgian who opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola's side. No other City player had more shots on target (2) or created more chances (2) than the midfield maestro.
Attacking midfield: Xherdan Shaqiri (Stoke)
The bulky Swiss winger had a hand in both of Stoke's goals in their draw with Leicester, scoring the first before sending in the corner for Peter Crouch to earn the 'Potters' a point in the second half.
Attacking midfield: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
In a surprise move, Salah played through the middle against West Ham but he impressed, scoring twice. The first goal was a devastating display of his electric pace, with the Egyptian slotting past Joe Hart just 13 seconds after West Ham had won a corner at the other end, whilst his second was an excellent strike across England's No 1 and into the far corner. Salah is fast becoming the signing of the summer in the Premier League.
Attacking midfield: Rajiv Van La Parra (Huddersfield)
The Dutchman only had one shot against West Brom but it wasn't half bad! The winger curled in an early contender for Goal of the Season after receiving the ball from Scott Malone 25 yards out as his terrific effort gave Ben Foster no chance. The goal earned Huddersfield all three points and is worthy of an inclusion in this team on its own.
Striker: Alvaro Morata (Chelsea)
United's plan early on appeared to be to bully the Spaniard but the former Real Madrid man did anything but go into his shell. He battled and harried and led the line magnificently for the 'Blues' before scoring the winner with a fine header from 12 yards.
