Goalkeeper: Tomas Vaclik (Sevilla)
The goalkeeper changed the game in the first half of the goalfest against Levante, saving a penalty from Morales that would have made the game 2-2 to clear the way for the Andalusians to run riot.
Defender: Daniel Carriço (Sevilla)
The defender was immaculate for the final hour of Sevilla's win and even got the the second goal for Pablo Machín's men as he nodded home a looping free-kick.
Defender: Marc Bartra (Real Betis)
Another defender who showed his goalscoring instincts this weekend as he cracked home a fine effort from outside of the box to launch his side's comeback against 10-man Athletic Bilbao.
Defender: Nacho Martinez (Real Valladolid)
Valladolid finally found the net for the first time since their promotion in their draw against Celta and the full-back was a factor in his side's performance. The defender was a thorn in Celta's side all game down the left and ended the match with two assists to his name.
Midfielder: Ibai Gomez (Alaves)
The winger continued his fine form for the Basque side as he struck twice against newly-promoted Rayo Vallecano, including one wonderful left-footed effort which soared into the top corner from outside of the box.
Midfielder: Pablo Sarabia (Sevilla)
The classy playmaker had a hand in five of Sevilla's six goals against Levante, assisting the first three as well as scoring the fifth and contributing majorly to the fourth.
Midfielder: Raul Garcia (Athletic Bilbao)
The midfielder was key to his side's draw against Real Betis, assisting the first goal for Iñaki Willians early on and scoring the second himself. His impact waned after Bilbao were reduced to 10 men.
Midfielder: Thomas Lemar (Atletico Madrid)
The Frenchman was the standout performer for Atletico on Saturday, contributing to both his side's goals. First, his long-range screamed crashed back into play off the crossbar, only to bounce off the hapless goalkeeper and into the back of the net, before rounding the 'keeper to add his side's second.
Forward: Wissam Ben Yedder (Sevilla)
The forward was a thorn in Levante's side throughout and ended the game with a hat-trick just 72 hours after it had looked like he wouldn't feature in the game.
Forward: Cristhian Stuani (Girona)
The lad just can't stop scoring! The former Middlesbrough man's brace against Barcelona moved him level with Lionel Messi with five league goals for the season to date, though it wasn't enough for Girona to claim victory for the 10-man hosts.
Forward: Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo)
The king in the north continue to reign supreme as his brace looked to have handed Celta victory over Real Valladolid, only for the newly-promoted minnows to claim a late and shock point through Leonardo Suarez.
