Sofiane Feghouli joined Galatasaray in the 2017-18 season after a brief spell at West Ham. The Turkish side paid €4.3 million for the player who had played for Valencia.
The Algerian, whose best spell as a footballer was in the 'Che' team, did not have great performances last season and since the arrival of Domenec Torrent he was losing importance. 'Fotospot' reports that the midfielder is negotiating a move to Besiktas, Galatasaray's eternal rivals. Feghouli is interested in continuing to play in the Turkish League and is keen to join Valerien Ismael's team.
It was not a good season for the Turkish giants. Neither Besiktas nor Galatasaray will be present in European competitions. League champions Tranbzonspor will be in the Champions League and Fenerbahce will be in the Europa League. As for the Conference League, Konyaspor and Istanbul Basaksehir will have to go through the qualifying rounds to reach the group stage.
At the age of 32, Feghouli is facing the last matches of his career and will have to find the right team to end his time as a football player. At Besiktas, he is awaited by his national team-mate Rachid Ghezzal, who will be more than happy if one of the best players in Algeria's history arrives.
