Karim Benzema has been slow to respond to Mathieu Valbuena, who said yesterday that he would not mind shaking Benzema's hand on the pitch after their history. The Real Madrid striker made it clear that he does not want to make peace.

''Keep your hand'' was Karim Benzema's response on Instagram. The footballer accompanied the reply with an image of Valbuena's statements.

Mathieu Valbuena, who now plays for Fenerbahce in Turkey, has said that he no longer holds a grudge against Benzema for their history and would be willing to shake the Real Madrid striker's hand.

Both players were embroiled in a legal battle after Benzema supposedly blackmailed Valbuena over a sex tape. The resulting court case meant that Benzema was dropped by the French National Team.
