Saudi Arabia are by no means finished buying players to boost the profile of their league. The latest reports suggest that the next player on their list Liverpool's Fabinho, and a concrete offer is expected to be made soon, from Al-Ittihad.
'The Athletic' report that the offer will be around £40 million, but the Reds will be hesitant to let their starting '6' leave without a replacement. The Brazilian has three years still remaining on his contract, and was a key figure for Jurgen Klopp last season, making 49 appearances.
If he were to leave Anfield for Al-Ittihad, he would join ex-Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante and former Real Madrid star striker Karim Benzema, who both completed moves earlier this summer.
Although the Reds have already signed two midfielders this summer, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, they lost James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the ends of their contracts, and Fabio Carvalho on loan to RB Leipzig.
One possible replacement is Southampton's Romeo Lavia, who has been linked with various Premier League clubs, but is valued at £50 million, which the Reds feel is too much for the 19-year-old.
