Benzema puts Real Madrid ahead

Madrid face Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-finals at home. The Blues have won more games than Ancelotti's side when they have met. However, this match could be totally different.

Karim Benzema gave his side the lead in the 21st minute with a superb shot after a rebound from Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa.

Carvajal found Vinicius Jr with space and the Brazilian tried to shoot from inside the box but his effort was denied by the Spanish goalkeeper. Nonetheless, Benzema scored the opener after a rebound to put his side ahead.

This is the Frenchman's fourth goal in the Champions League this season. Furthermore, it is his 26th goal in all competitions.
