Benteke continues his fine form to stake his claim at being selected for Belgian's squad for the European Championships - he has now scored three goals in as many matches. The most recent was scored in the Premier League encounter against Aston Villa in which Crysal Palace were overrun in 20 crazy minutes that were highly entertaining for the neutral.
First, McGinn put Villa in front after 17 minutes, before Benteke made his mark on the match with a superb header just 15 minutes later, equalising the scoreline. This only lasted two minutes, however, when El-Ghazi responded with his contribution to make it 1-2 just before the break, changing the teamtalk of both managers at half time.
Benteke's contribution continues his fine vein of form of late. Against Sheffield United he scored his second, with a goal that came just minutes from the start. Against Southampton, he found the target in the exact same minute as against the 'Blades'.
His good work at Crystal Palace has been routine for a few seasons now. With the 'Eagles' already securing their survival this campaign, Benteke will continue to be pivotal in giving his side the firepower up top which could make the difference in future seasons between staying up or ending the season in dire straights.
