Bennacer's salary, the stumbling block to his renewal

Ismael Bennacer, who has been a great performer for Stefano Pioli's Milan, has a contract until 2024 and intends to stay with the Italian club for several more years.

The biggest obstacle, according to 'Tuttosport', are the demands that the Algerian would be asking for to sign a new contract with the 'Rossoneri'.

The Italian media also claimed that Bennacer would like to be paid a salary of two million per season, but the Milan board are somewhat reluctant to offer such a figure to one of Pioli's first-choice midfielders.

During the 2022-23 season, the player from the last Serie A champion managed to make 20 appearances. He scored one goal and provided two assists.
