PSG booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite losing the second leg to Bayern Munich. Choupo-Moting's header after David Alaba was denied by goalkeeper Keylor Navas was the only goal of the game. It was a lead the Germans did not deserve as Neymar had struck the woodwork on three occasions prior to that.
Just like in the first leg, the team who played better on the night ended up losing. However, PSG's three away goals in Germany last week meant they went through at Bayern's expense.
PSG were the better side and Mbappe had an effort early on which went wide of the goal. Neymar was then denied by Neuer from close range after 10 minutes, but the first 25 minutes were reasonably quiet.
Then, Leroy Sane was very close to giving Bayern the lead in the 26th minute, but his strike went narrowly wide of Navas' right hand post. Chances then started to come frequently and Neymar was denied by the woodwork on no fewer than three occasions in the space of five minutes. The first of those saw his effort deflected onto the post by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, the second was a strike which hit the bar from outside the box and the third time saw him find the base of the upright when he was one on one.
Seconds later, in the 40th minute, Bayern unexpectedly took the lead. A ball into the box was touched by Muller, Alaba was denied by Navas, but the ball looped up in the air and Choupo-Moting headed in. That meant Bayern required one more goal to the win it.

The visitors started the second half brightly and Alaba came close to finding the back of the net, but the chances then began to dry up from a Bayern perspective.
PSG so nearly levelled on 57 minutes when Mbappe picked out Di Maria on the near side and Neymar was a whisker away from tapping in the square pass.
The game then calmed down and that suited PSG perfectly. In fact, Mbappe had the ball in the back of the net 12 minutes from time, but he was just offside.
Leroy Sane so nearly got the all important second goal for Flick's men after cutting past Bakker and then hitting across the face of the goal, but no teammate was there to turn it in.
PSG ran out the clock brilliantly in the closing stages and last season's runners-up got their revenge on the defending champions by the narrowest of margins. They will face Man City or Dortmund in the semi-finals.
