Bayern confirm torn ACL for Tolisso

Corentin Tolisso will spend several months on the sidelines after tearing his anterior cruciate knee ligament in Bayern Munich's win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

The Bundesliga champions also confirmed full-back Rafinha is set to miss "a number of weeks" with ankle ligament damage sustained during a bruising encounter at Allianz Arena.

"Unfortunately, we can confirm that Corentin Tolisso as suffered an ACL tear and is set for several months out. Rafinha also suffered ankle ligament damage and is out for a number of weeks. Get well soon, guys!" the German champions posted on their official Twitter account.

Tolisso joined the Bavarians from Lyon in the summer of 2017 and had become a popular figure among the fans for his all-action displays in the middle of the park.
