Basement boys score stunner in the Bundesliga

It looked like Paderborn v Fortuna, a battle between two teams desperate for the points, was going to be goalless at half-time, but Sabiri had other ideas in the 43rd minute. 

Paderborn, a newly promoted side, played the ball out from the back and went down the right flank. 

The ball ended up at the feet of Sabiri, who from the edge of the box, decided he wanted to become the hero. He received the ball, controlled, lifted his head before controlling the ball with his right foot and shooting. 

His shot surprised everyone. He hit it across keeper Steffen and into the top right hand corner. The goalie could not do anything to stop it and just had to accept it was a brilliant goal. 

That meant Paderborn went into half-time in front and set them up for their first Bundesliga win of the season. This is the club's second time in the Bundesliga after participating in the 2014-15 edition. They got relegated that season though.
